From Movement - Ride
Sometimes the best thing to do. Is nothing at all.
Think like a surfer. You don't paddle out everywhere.
You wait.
You wade.
You wait for the right wave.
Then you ride it.
It's not filling our lives with something that makes us happy.
It's about accepting the things that we do have, and riding it.
True friendship is a wave you can't find.
It's something that comes to you.

Life Is.
RAMBLING:
It's an uncomfortable position to be in if your flow of thoughts becomes unbalanced- where you can't articulate as fast as your mind can analyze them. And whatever you can't articulate simply shows you just don't understand completely what it is that you're trying to analyze. And if you're a constant thinker, then you're bound to be left with a bunch of unprocessed thoughts.
It is as if you've become a ghost to your own reality.
Unprocessed thoughts yield lingering questions.
Lingering questions hinders the progress of your spiritual growth.
Questions linger because they seem to be unresolvable.
But in the scope of it all, are these questions that life brings worth stunting our growth, missing our opportunity to mature, or refusing the gift of Being?
For the sake of your own progression, let them all go. Let the quarrels of life simply... be.
It was a Psycho that told me the only rational way to describe Life: It is.
Life Is.
The message is simple. The way it should be delivered. To be at peace with your thoughts may deliver you from complication.
Isn't it, though, a complicated effort to maintain this simple belief? ;)
I suppose you get better at it over time.

From Jammin'
"What's your perspective, friend?
There's a Peanuts cartoon where Linus is curled up very quietly reading a book in a corner, and Lucy is standing in the background with a very funny fishy look on her face. And she turns and says to Linus, "It's very strange, it happens just by looking at you."
Linus turns around and asks, "What happens?"
Lucy, "I can feel a criticism coming on."
Apart from God's perspective, that is all you will feel coming on.
Your problem and my problem, it's not a critical/analytical thing. It's not because you're educated, it's not because you're Asian or not. It's not a East Coast thing or West Coast thing. It's not a cultural thing, it's not a biological thing. It's a sinful thing. All you feel is a criticism coming on.
Friend, when you and I look upon other people. When you think about the one who has hurt you the most, and all you see are the corrections to be made, you are lacking God's perspective. The proud, and therefore insecure, have a really difficult time, almost unable to identify and call out evidence of grace in other people because you're too preoccupied to inflate yourself. But God's perspective that rushes right through Apostle Paul shows you something altogether beautiful and different."
Pastor Harold, from Cerritos Presbyterian Church, going over 1 Corinthians: 1-9
my, my isn't this true?

To My Spiritual Master
I don't remember where I found this, but it was on a post-it note I had for a while. Things appear right in front of your eyes when your soul truly wishes for them.
"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.
A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.
A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master…"

Why Do I Love the Rain?
So that I could learn to appreciate more the sounds of the birds chirping after the storm.
"The Lover Loves Truth"
I did a tarot card reading last weekend and this is what the cards told me:
The Lover - Loves - Truth
"You are surrounded by possibilities for pleasure. Enjoy the moment with all you find attractive and learn what love is. Find someone with whom you want nothing less than to spend life together. To achieve this, examine all motives with brutal honesty. Even if the truth hurts, admit it and work hard to accept its lesson."
Love's gentle power you'll attract
with graceful manners, charm, and tact.
You'll find true love by working less
and smiling more to look your best.
Enjoy yourself and celebrate
the one you're with may be your mate.
You'll know your love is real and true
when making love means something new
when holding hands or sharing hugs
can satisfy your need for love.
Until you both feel this is true
it's just romance, not love for you.
Tell the truth but listen, too
when others tell the truth to you.
The gift Truth brings to those who care
the special trust that soul mates share.
If one you love tells you a lie,
give one more chance, then say
"goodbye."

Together As One 2010
But when we start making fires
We get ever so hot
Whether we like it or not
They say we can love who we trust
But what is love without lust?
Two hearts with accurate devotions
And what are feelings without emotions?
I'm going in for the kill
I'm doing it for a thrill
Oh I'm hoping you'll understand
And not let go of my hand
(x2)
I hang my hopes out on the line
Will they be ready for you in time
If you leave them out too long
They'll be withered by this song
Full stops and exclamation marks
My words stumble before I start
How far can you send emotions?
Can this bridge cross the ocean?
I'm going in for the kill
I'm doing it for a thrill
Oh I'm hoping you'll understand
And not let go of my hand
(x2)
Let's go to war
To make peace
Let's be cold
To create heat
I hope in darkness
We can see
And you're not blinded by the light from me
I'm going in for the kill
I'm doing it for a thrill
Oh I'm hoping you'll understand
And not let go of my hand
I can't hang up the towel just yet.

The Prestige
Borden:
Angier:
"The audience knows the truth- that the world is simple. Miserable. Solid all the way through. But if you could fool them, even for a second, you could make them wonder.
Then you got to see something very special...
(coughs, looks up)
You really don't know?
It was the look on their faces."
I finally saw The Prestige, directed by the magnificent Christopher Nolan. It took me so long to see it not because of a disinterest, but because Nolan requires your absolute full attention when he gives you a piece of his mind. The past few years I've been distracted by life, feeling almost unworthy to watch the film because I wasn't absolutely sure I'd be able to give the film the attention it deserved. But it seems that these very distractions have been necessary to build up for me its important message.
Above are quotes from the two stars of the film. (Watch it for context)
Inevitably, in life, you will experience events that will disrupt your flow. Of thinking. Of living. Of everything you may have seemed to figure out. You will question this disruption. Ponder new mechanisms, new truths, to reestablish your flow. And although you might find yourself a solution, life happens again, and it leaves you in what seems to be an endless pursuit of finding answers, an equilibrium, a steady flow.
So why fight what seems to be an unending battle? An unsolvable mystery? An unexplainable magic trick?
Because no one ever said they didn't enjoy riding a wild river flow.
We live to be able to experience the magic.
Falling into Place
My fantasy of having a world wide rave is finally coming into play. Not really. But still, I love the direction pop culture may be going into.

Teamwork
It's not so much the star that leads you to the top, it's more about the steps you take beside your partners that does.
All Jokes Aside..
"Do I really look like a guy with a plan?
I don’t have a plan …
The mob has plans. The cops have plans.
You know what I am? I am a dog chasing cars… I wouldn’t know what to do with one if I caught it.
I just do things. I am just the wrench in the gears. I hate plans.
Yours, theirs, everyone’s.
Schemers trying to control their worlds.
I am not a schemer. I show the schemer how pathetic their attempts to control things really are.
So when I say that you and your girlfriend was nothing personal, you know I am telling the truth.
I just did what I do best. I took your plan and turned it on itself.
Look what I have done to this city with a few drums of gas and a couple of bullets.
Nobody panics when the expected people gets killed. Nobody panics when things go according to plan, even if the plan is horrifying.
If I tell the press that tomorrow a gangbanger will get shot or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics. – because it’s all part of the plan.
But when I say that one little old mayor will die, everybody loses their minds.
Introduce a little anarchy, you upset the established order and everything becomes chaos.
I am agent of chaos.
And you know the thing about chaos?
IT is FAIR."

Passion
It's not so much about deciding what you love or if you truly love whatever you decide, but more about putting your best effort into whatever flavor that your life's current interest takes into form. The growing minds and personalities that we develop will always find new influence from everything and everywhere we experience. You'll admit a love for something and dedicate your time and thoughts catering to it, and then find yourself discovering a new path and directing your attention to that instead.
So how can you ever commit to any one of your many passions with the fickle thinking you might have?
Do yourself a favor and don't worry your mind with such a future-oriented question. After all, "tomorrow" never really exists. By the time "tomorrow" comes, it's "today". So keep your thoughts in the present - the only time that really exists.
So whatever you love today, go ahead and love it your all. Refrain from worrying about what to have passion for or justifying your claim for any of those passions.
What's really important?
Living passionately.

Love
It's not the point of Love to experience it, to know it, or to feel it.
It's when you're able to have someone else understand it, too..
..that's when you can see Love at its truest.

The Expressions of Nature.
More than a sound of the night,
more than nourishment to the earth.
More than its calming presence among everything it falls on..
A gentle sprinkle of rain makes contact with me tonight as I sit outside.
It is, in every extent of the meaning, my "connection" with life at this moment.
Bad weather? Hardly. :)

I feel that my subconscious mind is conjuring up the blog posts of all midnight maraud blog posts thus far that'll encompass absolutely everything that I have been through and experienced the past four years of my life.
I'm excited for what I produce.
If you care.. I think its worth it to you to do the same. Hit me up if you do, I'd love to listen to or read what you have.

If my math is right (probably isn't), we should see what's up this Thursday at 6pm PST.
Focus to Lose Focus
At what point does searching for truth within our lives and ourselves blind us from clear rationale and the obvious? Or when we strive for inner peace and peace with others only to find more turmoil and apathy?
Surely we have objectives and goals that we choose to define us and let dictate our actions and thinking, but we must sort these out and find to what worth it is to keep any one of them.
It is the idea of acceptance, a virtue worth more to embrace than any discovery that we've striven to maraud for.
Because what is "truth" anyway in a world of progressive thinking? To what end do we really care to find answers to questions and problems that really only prolong nonsense?
To believe and to have faith in our own defined truths.
To accept and have patience for the still unknown.

HARDfest 13: The Prologue
To peaceTHIIZ, kaya, dation, ozziefuture, and suzie cute:
So I looked up prologue and it actually means the start to a play, not the final chapter. But then I thought, maybe it still applies..
To my HARDfest family: Take in what you've learned and experienced at the rave from all the sincere connections you felt: from our core group, from our friends we ran into inside, from all of the strangers that you immediately made best friends out of with no effort at all, and most importantly from the connection you made with yourself, your mind, your spirit, and your privileged ability to love.
And then with the same intensity and beat we played our hearts to during this state of infinite harmony, let everything that happens after the perfect night be the start of the play that we call our lives. It's a story we've had within us since the very beginning- let's write it with this new burning passion together, to the world, in celebration of its awakening.
You are a living testament that TRUE love exists. Friday, March 13, 2009 was indeed one of a kind..
..but let the early morning dawn of the next day and all the days to follow be forever known as the Prologue.
Peace. Love. Unity. and Respect.

SPOP
Dear SPOP Staff Applicant,
Thank you for applying to be part of staff for the UCI Student Parent
Orientation Program. Among the pool of more than 500 extremely qualified
applicants, it was very exciting to meet you. It was also incredibly
difficult to choose a staff of only 130 people from the large and
competitive pool of applicants this year.
But with that said, we are so excited that we will be working with you
this coming summer. In other words, Congratulations! You have been
selected to be part of the SPOP Staff for 2009...
..In keeping with tradition, we ask that you do not wear any apparel during
the training sessions that would indicate your affiliations with any
campus organization or mention your particular affiliations to other
staffers. We want you and your fellow staffers to get to know each other
on a personal level without the influence of affiliations.
Again, as the 2009 SPOP Coordinators, we would like to congratulate you
for being selected as a SPOP 2009 staff member. We are thrilled we will be
seeing you soon..
Best Regards,

Video of John Mayer messing with a groove box sampler. I'm not saying Kanye sucks.. just stop acting like you're God, you fuck.
And stop preaching your game is hip hop. you're ruining the name.

Superman vs. Man of Steel Part 2 - Shaq's Supposed Flop
See: Part 1
LoL, I think I'm actually on to something here, I was joking at first, but I wonder who else has made this connection.
There has been a lot of heat between Shaq and Stan Van Gundy (Orlando Magic's Head Coach - Dwight's Coach) over this charge Shaq tried taking on Dwight Howard. Fake or not?
It's just some nice and healthy competition between the two lovable Goliaths of the NBA. Let's just leave it at that.

Fuckn Formats
I would just like to apologize for the people who view my blog that can't see the entire videos or pictures that I embed into it because of their browser (heh, almost misspelled that as Bowser -
). But it's likely it's my stupid unadjustable template I use for this site.
Can anyone find a solution to this problem??

Zombie Attack
I've been having reoccurring zombie survival dreams lately. Nothing fluffy and cute about them either, but seriously real, raw, and scary shiz- but to the point where it's not a nightmare. I think it's because of the rush I got from trying to escape these brain-eating undead.
For a better picture, imagine yourself in a Night of the Living Dead-Dawn of the Dead-Friday the 13th-SAW I thriller ending-auto-biographical documentary-video game.
Any suggestions or thoughts as to what this all means... or foreshadows??!?!?!?!? ::cue in diabolical, echo-y life::
I'm gonna sleep with an AK-47 in my bed from now on..
..you know, to make the escape from the zombies a lot easier the next time.
..oh, and guests are welcome. Too much fun to do this on my own again! :)

Raver Manifesto
"Our emotional state of choice is Ecstasy. Our nourishment of choice is Love. Our addiction of choice is technology. Our religion of choice is music. Our currency of choice is knowledge. Our politics of choice is none. Our society of choice is utopian though we know it will never be.
You may hate us. You may dismiss us. You may misunderstand us. You may be unaware of our existence. We can only hope you do not care to judge us, because we would never judge you. We are not criminals. We are not disillusioned. We are not drug addicts. We are not naive children. We are one massive, global, tribal village that transcends man-made law, physical geography, and time itself. We are The Massive. One Massive.
We were first drawn by the sound. From far away, the thunderous, muffled, echoing beat was comparable to a mother's heart soothing a child in her womb of concrete, steel, and electrical wiring. We were drawn back into this womb, and there, in the heat, dampness, and darkness of it, we came to accept that we are all equal. Not only to the darkness, and to ourselves, but to the very music slamming into us and passing through our souls: we are all equal. And somewhere around 35Hz we could feel the hand of God at our backs, pushing us forward, pushing us to push ourselves to strengthen our minds, our bodies, and our spirits. Pushing us to turn to the person beside us to join hands and uplift them by sharing the uncontrollable joy we felt from creating this magical bubble that can, for one evening, protect us from the horrors, atrocities, and pollution of the outside world. It is in that very instant, with these initial realizations that each of us was truly born.
We continue to pack our bodies into clubs, or warehouses, or buildings you've abandoned and left for naught, and we bring life to them for one night. Strong, throbbing, vibrant life in it's purest, most intense, most hedonistic form. In these makeshift spaces, we seek to shed ourselves of the burden of uncertainty for a future you have been unable to stabilize and secure for us. We seek to relinquish our inhibitions, and free ourselves from the shackles and restraints you've put on us for your own peace of mind. We seek to re-write the programming that you have tried to indoctrinate us with since the moment we were born. Programming that tells us to hate, that tells us to judge, that tells us to stuff ourselves into the nearest and most convenient pigeon hole possible. Programming that even tells us to climb ladders for you, jump through hoops, and run through mazes and on hamster wheels. Programming that tells us to eat from the shiny silver spoon you are trying to feed us with, instead of nourish ourselves with our own capable hands. Programming that tells us to close our minds, instead of open them.
Until the sun rises to burn our eyes by revealing the distopian reality of a world you've created for us, we dance fiercely with our brothers and sisters in celebration of our life, of our culture, and of the values we believe in: Peace, Love, Freedom, Tolerance, Unity, Harmony, Expression, Responsibility and Respect.
Our enemy of choice is ignorance. Our weapon of choice is information. Our crime of choice is breaking and challenging whatever laws you feel you need to put in place to stop us from celebrating our existence. But know that while you may shut down any given party, on any given night, in any given city, in any given country or continent on this beautiful planet, you can never shut down the entire party. You don't have access to that switch, no matter what you may think. The music will never stop. The heartbeat will never fade. The party will never end.
I am a raver, and this is my manifesto."

Christian Bale is a Bad Ass.
Audio of him ripping on the director of photography, Shane Hurlbut, for interrupting his acting during a scene for his new movie Terminator: Salvation.
All this did for me was confirm his bad ass persona. so dope.
EDIT: Turns out the Hurlbut actually was being a prick.
Fuck media.

PLUR
As we grow older and get a better grip on what this world is to us (on any level that interests you), we hopefully develop a more personal perspective on life- a state of mind modified from the norm that we can't help but talk about among ourselves and our peers.
Don't put it to waste.
Sometimes it's not enough to just have these conversations about what life can mean to each of us. It's not enough to spill our guts about our true feelings for this world only to put it away until the next time the topic comes up. We can ponder life issues all we want, and we definitely have, but it's worth it to ourselves and our ideas to make something concrete of it all.
Because it is okay to have peace of mind. Because these questions can only really be answered by you and not by anyone else.
Questions dance with us everyday, so try taking the extra step and come up with an answer. YOUR answer. Live it. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

fuckin' toe clip failure
noobster to the fullest.
riding to school today is always fun for me. im a lot more comfortable now riding through the traffic on bison, adding some skids here and there for both practice.. and to look cool ;).
didn't look too cool today though! i was stuck at an intersection, so i went for a track stand. when i tried to get out of it to chill, my foot got caught onto my toe clip and it was face plant status for me on the ground. i felt as helpless as a tree going timber.
its a real life metaphor of school for me right now. love it, but don't get caught up, you can fuck up and get floored! [lesson of the day]

Thanks for stopping by
Hey yall,
Thanks for checking out my blog, and I'm sorry I haven't updated it in a while. For whatever reasons I have for not doing so, I'll make a better effort to update regularly again.
For the newcomers to my blog, I would love if you could check out my older posts since the recent ones are kinda shallow.
Holler or leave comments if you would like. KEEP UP THE MIDNIGHT MARAUDDDDDDDDDDD.
With Love,
Me
